My blog, Everything Vellichor has multiple meanings.

"John Koenig wrote of his creation that it meant:
the strange wistfulness of used bookstores, which are somehow infused with the passage of time — filled with thousands of old books you’ll never have time to read, each of which is itself locked in its own era, bound and dated and papered over like an old room the author abandoned years ago, a hidden annex littered with thoughts left just as they were on the day they were captured."

My plan for this blog is to not only capture the feeling you get when you walk into a bookstore, but also the feeling when you watch cream swirl with coffee, a rain drop roll down a window, a twinkle in someone's eye. These are a few of the many other things I find fascinating, and I have never been able to describe how it all makes me feel. I hope with this blog I can show, write and illustrate this feeling.

  1. wow that was beautiful. I especially liked how you used that beautiful quote to get your message across. I'm really going to have to remember that one. I hope that you get to a point where expressing all of those feelings is natural.

  4. My favorite line is "the feeling when you watch cream swirl with coffee" I had never thought about it in this much detail, but yes that is pretty satisfying.

  6. I love how that is your goal. To capture the thoughts we don't put into words.

  7. I know what it is like. To have wistful feelings and a fascination with things and not being able to properly describe them. Good Luck with the blog.
